The Problem: The Mauritius government was facing increasing competition in major export industries and undergoing rapid and extensive deregulation which would threaten massive closures. The government needed a support system to help businesses survive the transition and identify and grow new business capability in newly defined sectors.

The Solution: QLBS.com were engaged to deliver a series of capability workshops which gave Enterprise Mauritius an accurate picture of the true nature of the risks facing Mauritian business and simultaneously trained their team of consultants from the National Productivity Competitive Council (NPCC). In addition QLBS.com empowered the NPCC and the consultants with Performance Improvement assessment and software tools that enabled the ongoing building of capability and through an aggregated database to develop cluster and national strategy

The Result: Government and businesses have an accurate picture of strengths and weaknesses. This knowledge is used to design specific strategies to maintain their businesses in the new deregulated economy. Enterprise Mauritius were recognized for this approach winning the “Best Small Country Award” by the Geneva based International Trade Promotions Agency.
