The inception of the South Waikato Economic Development Trust was a result of the South Waikato District Council's Economic Development Strategy

The Trust's mission is to work with individuals, groups and organisations to facilitate enterprise, development and growth. The Business Development Centre is a service offered by SWEDT and is a "one stop shop" that offers a professional service in facilitating, planning and marketing assistance for new and existing businesses.

South Waikato’s economic development advisors did not have the time and resources to deliver quality services to clients on a face-to-face basis.

The Solution:
QLBS.com provided a web-based assessment service so that clients could make contact with the Economic Development Agency and benefit from an objective profile of their business, without taking up consultant time. The assessment alerts clients if they need to contact a South Waikato consultant and vice-versa.
